Rudbeckia has been chosen for the Duxbury Art Association 40th Annual Winter Juried Show.

The 40th Annual Winter Juried Show is a prestigious art exhibition presented at The Art Complex Museum in Duxbury. The show encompasses artwork in all mediums by New England artists predominantly from the Metropolitan Boston, South Shore and Cape Cod areas.

The Winter Juried Show is exhibited in the Ture Bengtz Gallery at The Art Complex Museum, 186 Alden Street, in Duxbury. The show will be open to the public from February 10 through April, 2013.

The Art Complex Museum was founded in 1967 by the Weyerhaeuser family to showcase the art and collections that interested the family. The Art Complex Museum is open to the public free of charge Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at other times for special events.

A five-judge panel of working artists and art educators reviews the entries and selects 100 pieces for exhibition. Cash awards are given in each category for First Place and for "Best in Show." Ribbons are awarded for Second, Third and Honorable Mention artwork. Over 100 volunteers will orchestrate the process of bringing the show to the public under the direction of an event coordinator, the DAA and Museum staff.

Worked a bit on the spring oak leaves and the lower edge.  Added some pink across the bush leaves to pull the eye up toward the top.  Think I may be finished. 

I've added some more oak leaves to the left and center foreground.  Not certain if the eye finds a focal point or moves around the entire picture plane.

I've reestablished the leaves of the bush and added some oak leaves to the bottom right.

Finally decided to take out the upper left leaves.  While that is wet I revisited some of the branches and detailed the lower portion.
