Rudbeckia
Rudbeckia is also known commonly as black-eyed susan. It's quite invasive or at least aggressively spreading. Adjacent to the planting is a Shasta Daisy. A couple of them creeped into the Rudbeckia. I've included one to see if it works in the composition.

Rudbeckia
ALL in the Downs the fleet was moor’d,
The streamers waving in the wind,
When black-eyed Susan came aboard;
‘O! where shall I my true-love find?
Tell me, ye jovial sailors, tell me true 5
If my sweet William sails among the crew.’ John Gay

Rudbeckia
At this stage of the game it is difficult to see progress. The work is around the right side. All the colors are transparent and react as if working with glazes.

Rudbeckia
This represents a few days of work. The piece is ..... oil on board. The rudbeckia are spreading perennials that grow and bloom all summer in our side garden. They make great cut flowers.
